The New Age Message

The New Age Movement is a spirituality movement that is influenced by both Western and Eastern ideologies, and metaphysical teachings. Most people involved in this movement believe that humans need to evolve in body and spirit, unite globally, and have morals, although there is no unified belief system.
The general theme is that Earth will undergo a positive transformation and for some, December 21, 2012 marks the beginning of a new era. This new era will be a shift in the global consciousness and a move toward human enlightenment.

Every 2160 years, the constellation that is visible on the spring equinox changes and signals the end of an astrological age. Viewpoints differ, but for the most part, it is largely agreed that we are in the Age of Aquarius or moving into it from the Age of Pisces.

The Age of Aquarius is a good age of truth and camaraderie, and this is the time that some believe our solar system will be inside the photon belt of energy. Photon energy is divine energy, and as we reconnect to our divine source, people will have to make a choice: those who resist the goodness will die, and all others will be transformed into a light being.

During this millennium, which is a period of one thousand years, people will work to make Earth a paradise again. After that, there will be a resurrection and everyone will be given one hundred years to relive their lives to come to the truth. Those who don’t will have one thousand years of grace before the Earth exits the photon belt and paradise ceases to exist.

Of course, because the New Age Movement isn’t cohesive in its belief systems, not all new agers believe this. This is one of the biggest criticisms of the movement—no one really knows what they think because it’s so vague and changes from person to person.
